Pricing Information

 • Price Confirmation: We cannot confirm the exact price or availability of an item until after you have placed your order. Pricing errors may occur on our site.

• Order Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel any orders containing unavailable items or pricing errors, even after you receive an order confirmation or shipping notice. We may either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you of the cancellation.

• Price Variations: Prices for products described or advertised on Jens Hansen sites may differ from prices in our online or retail stores, third-party stores, or mobile applications.


Currency of Transactions

 • Charges in NZD: Our product prices are denominated in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$).  For your convenience, and depending on your shipping address, prices may be shown on our website in the equivalent amount in your home currency.  Where possible you will be charged in your home currency.  However, if this is not possible, your order will be charged the underlying price NZ$ amount. Therefore due to exchange rate fluctuations and any fees and charges determined by your credit card company, the final amount charged to your card can not be predetermined.

• Exchange Rates and Fees: If your credit card is not in NZD, the final amount charged may vary due to exchange rate fluctuations and fees determined by your credit card company.

• Refunds: Refunds will be issued in NZD. Currency fluctuations may result in a different refund amount if your account is in a currency other than NZD. This is beyond our control and should be resolved with your bank or credit card company.


Customs Duty & Tax (VAT/GST) & Delivery Charges

 • Shipping Costs: Free shipping or paid shipping charges only cover carrier transportation costs and not destination country regulatory costs.

• Duties and Taxes: You are responsible for paying any duties, tariffs, taxes (including VAT/GST), customs clearance, or brokerage fees for importing goods into your country.  You may sometimes be contacted by the carrier before the package arrives to confirm any details required if a customs entry process is applicable, such as your Tax or Social Security Number, or National ID.

• Additional Delivery Charges: Any additional delivery charges resulting from changes in delivery address after dispatch are your responsibility. Check with your local post office, FedEx, or government customs office for details.

• Delivery Acceptance & Refusal: To exercise your right to return an eligible order, you must first take physical possession of the goods. Refusing delivery of a shipment—whether by rejecting the package in person, failing to collect it, or refusing to pay valid customs duties and taxes—does not constitute a valid return request. In the event that a package is refused or returned to us due to unpaid duties or failure to accept delivery:

  • For Engraved, Special, or Custom Orders: As these items are final sale, refusing delivery does not make them eligible for a refund. No refund will be issued, and you may be held liable for return shipping costs, non-refundable duties, and administrative fees incurred by us to recover the package.

  • For Standard Orders (Eligible for Return): We reserve the right to deduct all return shipping fees, administrative costs, and any non-refundable duties or taxes from your eligible refund. The remaining balance will be processed only after the goods have been safely received and inspected at our facility.

Engraving Copyright

 • Legal Right: If you supply your own artwork or request specific custom engraving, you attest that you have the legal right to use that artwork, symbols, and/or text. You agree to indemnify Jens Hansen Gold & Silversmith Limited from any third-party copyright infringement actions.


Design Copyright

 • Intellectual Property Rights: All intellectual property rights, including copyright, in custom pieces are retained by Jens Hansen Gold & Silversmith Limited.

• Inscription Ownership: You confirm that you own the copyright, or that no copyright exists, on any inscription requested on a custom piece. Jens Hansen cannot provide inscriptions of copyrighted work without prior approval from the copyright owner.

• Reproduction: You will not reproduce the custom piece without express written authorization from Jens Hansen Gold & Silversmith Limited.

• Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 25% or an agreed amount is required to cover the cost of materials before commencing a special order.

• Payment: The custom piece will not be released until full payment is made.

• Agreement to Terms: Unless you explicitly inform Jens Hansen Gold & Silversmith Limited in writing that you do not agree to these terms, you will automatically be taken to understand and agree to them.
