Behind the Scenes History Tour

The Hansen family invite you to experience a behind the scenes history tour of Jens Hansen, Nelson Tasman’s very own internationally acclaimed jewellers, located right in the heart of Nelson City.

In this iconic Nelson Tasman experience, you will get to view the archive collection of work made by one of the founding fathers of the contemporary jewellery movement in New Zealand, Jens Hansen himself.

From there, you are invited across to the renowned and award winning workshop where Jens hand-crafted jewellery you can see in Peter Jackson’s famous movies and in the permanent collection of the Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa.

It’s in this same workshop that today’s jewellers are still designing and creating items that are, to this day, hand-crafted, original, precious and designed 'to be worn'.
